John J. Phelan III - Partner
John "Jack" Phelan is a proven trial lawyer. Senior partner and founder of Phelan, Phelan & Danek LLP, he thrives on the competition of trial and the science of medicine.
He concentrates his practice in the defense of construction litigation and medical malpractice. Jack has tried over 150 cases to verdict in New York State and Federal Courts. He has served as general counsel to a large construction and development family of companies, is a recognized expert in construction law, and regularly lectures throughout New York State on construction litigation issues. Jack founded the firm with the vision of a family of lawyers dedicated to achieving client goals with effective, cost-efficient, innovative solutions.

Jack enjoys sports and doing things with his family, wife Robin, and four children; Jack, Kelsie, Kate and Ben. He enjoys scuba diving, and regularly dives with his children. He is a team coach and a former board member with the Capital District Pop Warner, and is the team photographer with the Guilderland High School Varsity Football team. Jack also plays golf, and like most former football players, is a long ball hitter.
